Sick of hearing from us every day? Click here to get the Sunday only send.
Good morning, members! Welcome to another edition of our newsletter. We're S.H.I.T! And no, it's not what you think! It's actually an acronym for 'So Happy It's Thursday!' Even ask the grandkids. We got you there, didn't we? We hope we put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. After all, it's Thursday, and that means we're one step closer to the weekend.
But for our retired members, every day is like a weekend, right? Retirement brings about a new kind of daily routine that allows us to enjoy life's simple pleasures. So, I (Vella) am wondering, what does your day look like today? Do you like to sleep in or get up early? Do you have certain chores you like to do? Or is it just a day of relaxation and leisure? Share your thoughts in our forum here, and let’s celebrate the little things that bring us joy each day.
Alright then, I'm sure you're all eagerly waiting for the answer to yesterday's riddle. In case you need a little reminder, it's a cartoon that member @mick.idgaf shared in our forum here.
So, did you figure it out? The answer is money laundering, assault, and battery! So glad you, folks, had fun cracking this one. Of course, thank you to member @mick.idgaf for sharing this with us. Many of you got the answer correct, so stick around, and you'll find a shout-out waiting for you at the end of the newsletter.
Moving along, let's jump into this morning’s Fascinating Fact!
Did you know that an Australian man named James Harrison has saved over two million babies' lives? That's right! James Harrison has a rare blood type that produces an antibody used to create an anti-D injection given to pregnant women. This injection prevents Rhesus disease, a potentially fatal disease affecting unborn babies. A big round of applause for this heroic Aussie!

Today’s Yesterday’s Australia segment is thanks to member @wjs1957. In the early 60s, fridges were a luxury not everyone could afford. So, the ice man would come to the rescue, delivering big blocks of ice for the ice chest. And oh, how the kids used to love him! They would follow him around like a celebrity just to get a tiny ice chip from the block. And let’s not forget the kid who had the job of emptying the tray that sat under the ice chest. One slip-up and the kitchen would turn into a swimming pool! So, who remembers their ice man? Share your
memories in our forum here. Also, if you have a memory of Yesterday’s Australia that you would like to share, don’t be shy, post it on our forum here!

Freo sunset
We can’t stop staring at this photo of the Fremantle sunset shared by member @BigRob on our photography forum. The sun setting over the ocean paints a magnificent orange sky that takes our breath away. And what’s even more remarkable is the silhouette of the two kids on the shore, gazing out at the stunning scene before them. Their tiny figures against the vastness of the ocean and sky create a sense
of awe and wonder. This shot is one of our favourite sunset photos, and we’re sure many others will agree. Thank you, member @BigRob, for sharing this stunning photo with us. If you have a photo you want to share, please feel free to post on our Photography
forum!
