Project Update
July 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project, we would like to share an update on the works happening in and around St Aubins Square and Kelly Street. 

June Progress Summary

St Aubins Town Square

  • Installation of event power points in streetlights

  • Completion of footpath concrete

Block 1 (Kingdon to Liverpool Streets) – West & Medians

  • Street furniture installation (bubblers) 

  • Street lights energised

Block 1 (Kingdon to Liverpool Streets) – East

  • Completion of property storm water connections 

  • Installation of kerb side street lighting adjacent to Liverpool St intersection

  • Concrete pavement replacement 

  • Poured pram ramps

  • Completion of landscape walls 

  • Wombat crossing poured 

  • Landscaping including installation of irrigation and tree pits 

  • Completion of kerb and lintel linkups 

  • Commencement of footpath construction

  • Street lights energised

Block 2 (Liverpool to St Aubins Streets) – East

  • Completed construction of kerb and gutter 

  • Completed footpath concrete

  • Installation of irrigation and landscaping 

  • Installation of street furniture and tactiles 

  • Installation of  paver banding 

  • Pavement rectification works (by TfNSW) 

  • Traffic Control Signals upgrade completed

Liverpool St Drainage

  • Completion of box culvert bases and crown units

  • Completion of storm water drainage pits

  • Backfilling of culvert

  • Concrete pavement reinstated 

  • Temporary asphalt placed around drainage pits

  • Intersection reopened to traffic

Block 3 Corner (St Aubins to Susan Streets) - West

  • Pavement removal

  • Construction of landscape wall

  • Installation of subsoil drainage

  • Kerb and gutter construction 

  • Pavement replacement

  • Commenced modification to storm water pit

Works Planned for July

St Aubins Town Square

  • Complete finishing and defect works

Block 1 (Kingdon to Liverpool Streets) – West & Medians

  • Street furniture installation 

  • Rectifying any defect works 

Block 1 (Kingdon to Liverpool Streets) – East

  • Continuing footpath construction 

  • Remaining storm water lintels 

  • Pram ramp construction 

  • Pavement rectification works (by TfNSW)

Block 2 (Liverpool to St Aubins Streets) – West & Medians

  • Street furniture installation 

  • Rectifying any defect works

Block 2 (Liverpool to St Aubins Streets) – East

  • Complete landscaping

  • Complete paver banding and Equine Walk of Fame plaques

  • Install sign posts 

  • Pavement milling 

  • Placement of first asphalt layer

  • Temporary line marking

Block 3 Corner (St Aubins to Susan Streets) - West 

  • Completion of storm water 

  • Upgrade water main

  • Footpath construction 

  • Pram ramp construction
