Tuesday Edition
Good morning, everyone, and welcome to another wonderful Tuesday morning! How are you all feeling today? I (Vella) must say I am feeling quite chipper this morning. I think it has to do with the fact that I bought a little gadget over the weekend that has been making me excited about travelling again. Do you know that feeling when you have something new and just can’t wait to use it? That’s how I feel right now!
It’s a little flying camera called a drone. It’s one of those types that you can control with your phone, and it takes amazing aerial shots and videos. My partner and I are planning to take it on our next trip, and I am so excited to use it! Just thinking of all the fantastic footage, we’re going to get has me giddy with excitement. We're not photographers or videographers by any means, but we love to take photos and videos of the places we visit to document our adventures. And now we can do it in a whole new way! I’ll be sure to share some of the photos with you all in future newsletters.
If you’re also feeling excited about something new in your life, then congratulations! It’s always great to have something to look forward to.
Okay, enough about me; let’s move on to the answer to yesterday’s riddle.
A horse jumps over a tower, and the tower disappears. It's not an illusion or a dream. So where could this happen?
And the answer, of course, is… on a chessboard! Oh, we love a good riddle here at the SDC! How many of you got this one correct? We thought this one would be a bit of a stumper, but it seems like a few of you were able to see through this one. If you got the answer correct, then head further down the newsletter for your well-deserved shout-out!
Now then, what's happening in Australia and around the world today?

Oh, and did you know that Health Insurers are increasing their premiums by an average of 2.90% on April 1? Although that doesn’t seem like a ‘large’ increase, for an Aussie over the age of 65 that’s an additional $167 per year for their health cover. It’s worse if you’re with one of the ‘Big 5 Funds’ - think BUPA, Medibank, HCF, nib and HBF - you could be paying a whopping $194
more per year for the exact same health cover. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Compare and save on your health insurance before April 1 here.*

Who remembers riding in a tait red rattler carriage on their way to the city? Back then, the train ride was simple, with no fancy amenities like padded seats or air conditioning. No phones in sight. It was just you and your fellow commuters buried in newspapers, rattling along the tracks to your destination. Do you remember when your journey looked like this?

Lying on his deathbed, an elderly man made his final request to his wife:
‘Honey, I’m almost out of time, and there’s something I’d like you to do for me when I’m gone.’
She nodded her head and said, ‘You can count on me. Anything you ask, I’ll make sure it’s done.’
Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! I never expected that twist at the end! A big thank you to member @Luckyus for the laugh. Read the rest of the joke here.
