reveal the answer to yesterday’s riddle:
A group of privates were standing in the blistering sun facing due west. Their sergeant shouted at them: Right turn! About turn! Left turn! In which direction are they now facing?
The answer, of course, is east! So, a right turn is 90 degrees, an about turn is 180 degrees, and a left turn is also 90 degrees. Therefore, the soldiers are now facing east. This was a tricky one, wasn't it? If you got it correct, look out for a shout-out further down this newsletter.
Moving onto our next segment, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’ Today's term is 'woke'. No, no, it's beyond just waking up from sleep. ‘Woke’ is commonly used to describe someone very aware of social and political issues.
