NEWS UPDATE21 November 2025 Publishers noteThere is no question that METS generates a whole lot of news, mostly about new product launches and award winners. And that is not a bad thing. We say as part of Marine Business News' charter that we aim “to share news and information with the recreational marine industry with a view to improving knowledge and supporting the growth and betterment of the industry.” Our industry survives, flourishes and grows by the actions of those who have visions for the development of products, the improvement of products, and the ultimate launch of new products within our industry. Mostly this comes from either an individual visionary or a team within a business who work ideas into realities. However, these visions are typically sparked by reading about something new, or seeing someone win an award for something they have done. We equally like to look to somewhat kindred industries, such as shipping, to see what they are doing. It is at times a predecessor to what recreational boating can do. I liken it to when Ferrari introduced the paddle shift to its F1 cars in 1989. I recall an interview when a representative for the manufacturer said something along the lines of “today's F1 technology will be used in the road cars of the future”. And he was right. Enough said. Again, a very diverse mix of news this week, and no doubt with dozens of tidbits to inspire those visionaries among us. As always, my selection of top stories leads this eNews, with the remainder grouped in the summaries below. We do hope you enjoy this week’s news.
