An important component of the PDFNJ mission is doing all that we can to prevent a reoccurrence of substance abuse for those in recovery. Individuals engaged in recovery are working every day to improve their health and wellness, and continually striving to live self-directed lives, thereby reaching their full potential. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), over 20 million Americans are in recovery, and most of them are in the workforce. PDFNJ encourages members of Drugs Don’t Work in NJ to participate in this national campaign to reduce stigma and celebrate recovery.
