Good morning, members, and welcome to another fabulous Wednesday! How’s everyone feeling this morning? I hope you’re all feeling fantastic today! As for me (Vella), I’m feeling a little under the weather. I woke up with a sore throat and a throbbing headache. But don’t worry; I’ll be okay! I’ve got my favourite fluffy blanket, lots of water and my mum’s homemade crab and corn soup (trust me, it’s better than chicken and corn soup). It’s the perfect combination of savoury and sweet and always makes me feel better. I swear, mums are superheroes in disguise. They know just what to do to make us feel better when we’re down. And, to top it off, my partner sent me the sweetest message this morning telling me to take care of myself. It’s moments like these that remind me of the people around me who love me unconditionally.
But enough about me! Let’s talk about something fun. Here’s a question for you: if you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? For me, it would have to be pizza! I mean, who doesn’t love pizza? You can put anything on it, and it’s always delicious. Plus, it’s easy to eat, and there’s (almost) no mess involved! So, what about you? Share your thoughts in our forum here, and let’s get this discussion cooking! I can’t wait to hear your answers.
So what have we got in store for you today? Let's dive right in!
First, we have this week's supermarket deals from Coles, Woolies, ALDI, and IGA. Grab your shopping list, and start saving some dollars.
Next up, we have another riddle to get those brain gears turning. Are you ready for this one? Here it goes:
What’s the least number of chairs you would need around a table to sit four fathers, two grandfathers, and four sons?
How's that for a Wednesday brainteaser? Is your mind boggled yet? I'm excited to see all the answers you come up with! If you've cracked this conundrum and think you've got the correct answer, head over to our riddle masters thread here. As always, anyone who gets the answer correct will get a shout-out in tomorrow's newsletter!

Imagine walking into a local shop and being greeted by name. The shopkeeper already knows your preferences, and they’ll even keep a tab for you to pay on your next payday. That was the norm in Australia back in the day. Small family-owned businesses were the backbone of the community, and everybody knew each other. Trust was the foundation of the system, and it worked beautifully. Shopping was simpler then, but it had everything you needed - from fresh produce to household essentials. Today, we live in a world of self-service and plastic, and while it has its conveniences, it can never capture the charm of those happy shopkeepers and great shops. Who misses this kind of service? Share your thoughts in our forum here. Also, if you have any photos of objects from your childhood, don’t be afraid to share them with us here on our forum.
