Growing and Learning to Better Serve Your Family!

Recently, staff from the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI) trained our Lifespan Service Team about visual challenges experienced by people with Down syndrome.

“Visual challenges are common with people with Down syndrome, so we encourage families to access a functional visual evaluations for their adult," explains Sarah Mai, OTR/L, Vice President of Lifespan Services at Down Syndrome Innovations. "The Down Syndrome Innovations’ Lifespan Service Team, in collaboration with CCVI,  can assist with strategies to support any visual challenges discovered in the assessment process."
