Library Outreach Update

Library Team member Susan recently met the local scout group at the Mount Barker Scouts Hall to present a workshop about running a market stall, in preparation for the Library Mini Makers Market in October (see next article for more info)

The session covered many topics including; visual merchandising, selling yourself, market research, pricing, planning, money handling, customer service, and promotion, giving each stall holder the tips and tricks in creating a successful market stall.

"It was so lovely to see the comradery amongst the group and the wonderful messages they instill in a fun and energetic way from leader Luk Bandicoot"

The Scouts will be running the BBQ and having their own stall, so come along to the library on Friday 13 October between 11am - 2pm and support all the stallholders.

The House that Joy Built is about giving ourselves permission to be creative. It explores two big forces: the fear that can block our creativity, and the permission we can meet that fear with - to not just create, but to revel in the life-changing wonder and joy of doing so. It offers a jump-start for the nervous heart of anyone whose desire to create is overruled by fear.
