Tuesday Edition
Good morning ladies and gents! Welcome to yet another Tuesday morning. How lucky are we to be here? We are feeling quite energetic here at the SDC HQ this morning. I (Maddie) think it has something to do with the gorgeous weather we have had here in Sydney over the past few days. Sometimes I think I’m a little bit like a solar panel, the more sun I get, the more energy I seem to have. 😉 However, I also just want to say that I know not everyone across Australia is experiencing the same weather as I am at the moment, so I do want to send my love and strength to all of you who are being impacted by the horrific floods we’re seeing across the country. Some very dear friends of mine are going through some really tough times out in Forbes, in the central west of NSW, but I know there are so many of you far and wide going through the same awful experience. So I just want you all to know we are
thinking of you all and if there is anything we can do, please let us know.
Before we take a look at today’s news stories, we of course have to reveal the answer to yesterday’s riddle… Here’s a reminder of what the riddle was:
At night they come without being fetched, and by day they are lost without being stolen.
The answer is… Stars! I am so impressed by how many of you answered this correctly! This riddle had me scratching my head. I couldn’t figure out the answer to save my life, but it looks like there were so many of you who had no problems at all! Clearly, I have some practising to do. For those of you who answered the riddle correctly, scroll down to the bottom of this newsletter to see your very well-deserved shout-out. Congratulations to you all!

Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by the lovely member, @Goodbloke! I don’t know about you, but I have very fond memories of all of this Tupperware from my childhood. My personal favourite is the homemade icy pole containers. We used to make all kinds of ice-blocks from lemonade to watermelon, and even mango (which was rare but was my favourite flavour). I used to love them as a treat in the summer. I also have funny memories of the different coloured cups. I used to always have to fight my siblings for the green one! Who here remembers the Tupperware in their home?

Fisherman on Inle Lake, Myanmar
How incredible is this photo that was posted on our forum by member, @BigAl? It was posted, along with the caption ‘Inle Lake, Myanmar, is home to several villages, many of whose residents rarely leave the lake at all. A "bucket-list" destination, although not as safe to travel to today as it was just a few years ago.’ I can see why this was on your bucket list, @BigAl! It looks phenomenal. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all.

A woman is having a bad day at the roulette tables in Vegas. Down to her last $100, completely exasperated, she cries, ‘What horrible luck! What in the world should I do now?’
A gentleman next to her, trying to calm her down a bit, suggests, ‘I don’t know… Why don’t you play your age?’
