![]() We’re excited to kick off another fantastic season of soccer from this coming Saturday 3 May 2025! Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you as part of our GUFC soccer family. This season promises great competition, growth, and fun for players of all levels. Thank you for your continued support—we can’t wait to see everyone out on the field! Registrations for the 2025 season are closed and all teams are finalised. Most communications each week will come from Age Group Coordinators, coaches and managers. The first couple of weeks can be busy so we ask for your patience and understanding while everyone works out where they need to be! TrainingMost coaches and team managers have submitted training preferences this week. Some teams started training this week however most will start next week. Coaches and team managers will confirm training times with each team. ![]() Goals and field set upTeams are responsible for setting up goals on the field if they are not already there from the previous match. Refer to the fixtures on the wall of the clubhouse to see if your field needs set-up. Match fixtures and field set up/pack up requirements are emailed to coaches and/or manages prior to each Saturday. If your field requires set-up, head to the containers near the back of the clubhouse to collect your goals. A club volunteer will be there to help parents with which goals are required for their age group. UniformsOur community jerseys have arrived and our volunteers are getting these ready for coaches and team managers to collect this week. These are collected by team, and are not handed out individually. We are thrilled to have Optus on board as the sponsor of our community teams and their branding will be on most of our community jerseys.
Merchandise and the GUFC shopWe have three options for purchasing merchandise for this season:
![]() Referee updateWe want to make all players and families aware of an ongoing challenge: the number of available referees is much lower than in previous years. This shortage means that, unfortunately, not all games will have an official referee assigned. While we are working hard to recruit new referees and cover as many matches as possible, there will be times when teams will need to provide a volunteer to help officiate. We kindly ask that parents step in to assist where they can. Even basic support such as helping manage the sidelines or keeping time can make a big difference. We understand this may be new or unfamiliar for some, and we’ll provide support where possible. ![]() Volunteer rolesCommunity sporting clubs are run by their members. GUFC is not possible without the generosity of people giving the gift of time. We have some vacant volunteer roles. We are also still seeking Age Group Coordinators for U10's and U13's so if you are interested in helping out please get in touch via coach.coordinator@gufc.org.au Get involved in 2025! Email us at contact@gufc.org.au if you are interested in joining the GUFC volunteer team. Code of ConductWe’d like to take a moment to remind all players, parents, and supporters about the importance of upholding the GUFC Code of Conduct. Our club is built on values of respect, sportsmanship, and community. Whether you're on the field, or on the sidelines, we all share the responsibility of creating a positive environment for everyone - players, referees, coaches, and spectators. Please remember:
Let’s continue to make GUFC a club we’re all proud to be part of. Thank you for your support and for helping us maintain a safe, enjoyable, and respectful space for all. ![]() |
