NEWS UPDATE14 July 2023 Publishers noteAs humans we mostly don’t hesitate to go to a doctor to have our health issues attended to, or simply to get a check-up. Getting a doctor to attend to our physical needs is a perfectly acceptable and common way of life. In business however, it is rare that we take the opportunity to have someone give us a health check, or better still, simply give our businesses a good looking over to help us find ways to do even better. Many within our industry know Chris Baird, and others will know Nona Pederson. Both have been around for some time, especially Chris. Not too long ago they set up YESSSS. I have had the pleasure of working and dealing with them both of late and I am hugely impressed with their offerings and service. YESSSS is exactly the type of business that our industry needs, to help so many out there looking for ways to lift their performances to the next level. As I say, it’s not aways because we are not doing well, but it’s more so that we are so close to what we do, that we don’t recognise opportunities for growth right in front of us. YESSSS are offering a service to our industry members, no matter what the size of the business, to help them lift. Their services include, but are not limited to, support with business strategy, planning, growth, all sorts of marketing services, business development, and interestingly business brokerage for those looking to move on or retire from our industry. I think most of our industry is in really good shape, and most of us understand and can ride the waves of seasonality and business uncertainty linked to consumer sentiment. However, we all want to do better, and I suggest a coffee and catch up with Chris and Nona during the Sydney boat show is a real opportunity to understand what they may be able to do for you. There is no commitment on anyone’s behalf other than to show up for that coffee.
