We are so excited to announce our new campaign! No images? Click here J U N E - J U L Y 2 0 2 5 COUNCIL COURIERPCAIN is so excited to launch our new campaign, Eyes on the Child! This campaign encourages parents and guardians to watch their children at every age and every moment and will focus largely on water safety and internet safety. A number of our councils have agreed to help spearhead this campaign and help us share our message with as many Hoosiers as possible, and for this collaboration we could not be more grateful. While the month of July is upon us, we must remember the unfortunate truth that July constantly shows the highest monthly rates of child drownings. We encourage you to use this information as a powerful motivator to spread the word about water safety, even after summertime has passed us by. In addition, July 25th is "World Drowning Prevention Day" according to the World Health Organization. An estimated 236,000 people drown every year, and drowning is among the ten leading causes of death for children aged 5-14 years. July 25th is a great day to post on social media and spread the word about water safety. To get inspiration or re-use our assets, visit the council portal or view our Instagram @pcaindiana.
