NEWS UPDATE

2 February 2024

Publishers note

And just like that, January is behind us. It seems like only yesterday that we were preparing for some Christmas and New Year’s downtime. Now, into February, the industry is certainly gearing up for another year.

Last week, we shared an update on the status of the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, and this week brings the news that exhibitor applications are now open for the Sydney International Boat Show. On the international front, the US boat show season is well underway, with the Miami Boat Show just a couple of weeks away, and Riviera announcing an impressive lineup for the event.

Reports from Europe have also been positive, with news from Germany stating that, "The water sports industry delivers a good verdict on Boot 2024. Exhibitors are delighted with good sales, positive discussions, and many new international customer contacts, and visitors are highly satisfied with the trade fair lineup."

It would be no surprise to many that I am a firm believer in the benefits derived from shows. Exhibiting at shows, when done right, can yield excellent returns not only in the short term but also over a long period into the future.

I've heard through the grapevine that the MIA has only a very few booths left for the exhibition space at Marinas24. This comes after the bold decision to significantly increase their exhibition space from the previous show. Well done, MIA.
