Tuesday Edition
Hello and welcome to another beautiful Tuesday morning! We hope you all slept well and are feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead. I (Vella) certainly am, as I have some fun things planned for today! I started working out again recently and I am really enjoying it. Well, I have to be honest, the motivation is really more driven by the fact that I have a wedding to go to in a few months and I want my old dress to fit!
Nonetheless, I'm happy to be working out again for my health and well-being. It’s a great way to release any stress or tension.
I encourage you to find an activity you enjoy and stick with it. It doesn't have to be a gruelling workout at the gym. It could be a leisurely walk around the block or even just some simple stretching. Find something that works for you and that you can stick with. 🙂
Now, let's move on to the answer to yesterday's riddle.
My life can be measured in hours, I serve by being devoured, thin I am quick, fat I am slow, wind is my foe. What am I?
The answer is… a candle! Oh my, we thought this one would stump most of you but it seems a few of you were able to figure it out. If you got the answer correct, then head further down the newsletter for your well-deserved shout-out!

For today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’, we have a lovely family memory shared by member @Julie. ‘Christmas was always an exhilarating time for our family. My brother and I knew we would be seeing all our cousins, aunties and uncles and grandparents. Each year, we would meet at my Uncle Gordon’s place, a little way out of town. Inside the house, preparation was being made for our Christmas meal. All I remember is the smell of hot fruit coming from the plum puddings in the oven. Plum puddings were the best treat as our parents would put threepence and sixpence in the puddings allowing us to pick them out of the pudding as we ate the pudding. I always seemed to be the
winner when tallying up the coin. Since then, we have changed currency and can’t use the new coins - they are apparently toxic. However, it was a fun season. A memory I still pass on to my kids.’
Ah, Christmas with the cousins! Our favourite Christmas memories always revolve around food and family - two of the best things in life! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely memory with us, @Julie.

Male and Female Blue-Faced Honeyeater
How stunning is this photo shared by @Big Al in our photography forum? They posted this photo with the caption: ‘Yogi1955 posted a lovely photo of the Blue-faced Honeyeater and reminded me of a shot I took a while ago of a male and a female together. No, please don’t ask me which is which!’
Oh, this photo made our day! These blue-faced honeyeaters are simply beautiful. But what caught our eye was the expression on their faces. It almost looks like they’re having a conversation (or an argument?) 😁. Thank you for sharing this lovely photo with us, @Big Al!
