Project Update
January 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project, we would like to share an update on the works happening in and around St Aubins Square and Kelly Street. 

We were very pleased to open Block 2 West prior to Christmas and restore access to the businesses on that stretch.  Thank you to those businesses for your patience and support. After a short Christmas break, Daracon returned to work on the 3^rd January and has been busy progressing works in both Block 1 west and Block 2 east.  We are working hard to complete the western side of the road by late February.

Progress Summary

Block 2 - West

• Opening of footpath and roadway to public

Block 1 - West

• Completion of median island kerb and raised pedestrian crossing
• Installation of planter boxes in medians
• Completion of trench drains
• Commencement of footpath construction

Next period’s planned activity summary

Block 2 – West

• Installation of street furniture and finishing works

Block 2 - East

• Concrete pavement saw cutting and removal

• Commencement of storm water drainage

Block 1 - West

• Continued footpath Construction 

• Transport for NSW pavement slab rectification works
