Make Lung Cancer a National Priority

This November—Lung Cancer Awareness Month—a team is forming to transform lung cancer and make it a national priority, and we need to know if we can count you in.

Everyone affected by lung cancer can sign up today to join this growing team united in a shared mission. You can share with others so they can raise awareness along with you, and show up this Saturday by joining a Breathe Deep TOGETHER walk and Resource Fair (more below) to kick off Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

Take the first step today by signing up, and we’ll keep you updated as more Lung Cancer Awareness Month actions happen this November.

Count Me In

This Weekend: Kicking Off Lung Cancer Awareness Month at Breathe Deep TOGETHER

Saturday, November 4

Breathe Deep TOGETHER is the best way to kick off Lung Cancer Awareness Month and a great way to make sure our community knows they can count you in. If you live near Boston, Chicago, New York City, Washington DC, or NE Pennsylvania, you can join in person for the Lung Cancer Resource Fair, community walk, and family fun activities.

If you live elsewhere, joining the online Breathe Deep TOGETHER anywhere event is the easiest way to show that you—alongside others across the country—care about supporting those affected by lung cancer and creating a future where people live longer and fuller lives.

How to Get Involved: Lung Cancer Awareness Month

Joining the team to transform lung cancer or signing up for the annual Breathe Deep TOGETHER walk are great ways to get involved early for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. But throughout November you can raise awareness, educate others, and change the perception of lung cancer by:

Following @LUNGevity and sharing on social media

Throughout November, the official LUNGevity social media accounts are spreading awareness and educating people through posts that you can easily share with your friends, family, and professional network. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter/X.

Sharing your personal experiences

Personal stories are the best way to build greater support for the lung cancer community. During Lung Cancer Awareness Month you can share publicly what you’ve experienced as a survivor or caregiver. If you’re not yet ready to share your own story, we have personal blogs and videos you can share instead.

Becoming a LUNGevity Action Network advocate

Taking action for those affected by lung cancer is something that happens beyond November. You can stay informed about legislative changes and issues affecting the lung cancer community by joining the LUNGevity Action Network. As an advocate you can respond to action alerts, sign petitions, and send messages to policymakers and regulators.
