Saturday Edition
Good morning members, and happy Saturday! Gosh! It feels good to wake up to a new day, doesn’t it? Add to that the fact that it’s the weekend and we can finally put our feet up and relax! How's the weather looking where you are? We hope you're staying cosy with a cuppa in hand. We're freezing over here at the SDC HQ! But we're not letting that dampen our spirits. After all, we have a whole lot of fun planned for today's newsletter. So without further ado, let's jump right in! To start things off, let’s take a look at the answer to yesterday’s riddle! So what was it again?
What has 6 faces, but does not wear make-up, has 21 eyes but cannot see. What is it?
Did you get it? The answer is a die! So the six faces are the six sides of the die, and the 21 eyes are the 21 dots on it! This one had us stumped for a while, but we’re glad many of you figured it out! If you got this one correct, make sure to check further down the newsletter, you'll find a shoutout waiting just for you.
Now, onto our next segment for the day, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’ Today, we’re taking a look at the term ‘aesthetic.’ This word has been popping up a lot lately, especially on social media. People often use it to describe someone or something they think looks good. For example, someone might say they like the aesthetic of a particular clothing brand or that a specific type of furniture has a certain aesthetic. Aesthetic is usually a combination of how someone dresses, styles their hair, and overall appearance. In short, an aesthetic is a particular style that someone embodies. So next time you see your grandkids looking
extra stylish, you can tell them they have a great aesthetic!
Oh, one more thing before we get into the news, check out today’s ALDI Special Buys! There are a bunch of goodies here, including some home entertainment essentials. So don’t forget to take a look!
