Dear PYM'er,

What an amazing experience it was for all of us to be together again. Once again, we were able to share, learn and be together as fellow investors.  Also, we were able to expand our thinking and explore new investment opportunities in a safe space.

The theme this year was regeneration and biodiversity, and Satish Kumar set the tone by challenging us to stop separating Humans from Nature. He reminded us that the Latin word for soil, humus, is where we got our word Human. This thought was reinforced by the speakers and break-out sessions on land, forestry, oceans, regenerative living, and even blockchain for good.
Another invitation was to move our thinking from from  ‘Mother Earth' to ‘Lover Earth.' Mothers give unrestricted love that pardons all affronts, whereas with a lover we bend towards respect, kindness, and support.  Maybe with those new perspectives we can seek investments that allow humans to again participate and design as nature, and to do so with respect, kindness and support for the earth and each other.

“Like every being, I’d love to be treated as an equal. I am often referred to as Mother Earth but I’d rather be Lover or Partner Earth. "

Dear Earth

At the end of the Impact Days, it was suggested that we should look at the perspective of Mother Nature. Even though we know that the best way to learn is to go out into Nature, we did have a few questions.
