The paper is the result of three months of consultations with almost 40 experts from Australia and the region and outlines a vision and pathways for how Australia can work with the Pacific to progress the WPS agenda. It is the first paper in an AP4D program funded by DFAT Office of the Pacific. Our peopleAP4D is deeply saddened by the passing of Allan Gyngell AO FAIIA. Allan was a colossus of the Australian international affairs community, with a modesty of temperament that belied his immense contribution. Allan was involved with AP4D from its inception, attending the initial dialogue, speaking at the first public event and serving on the Advisory Group. Our ProgramThe last month has been a busy one for AP4D, with three papers launched. On 20 April AP4D launched a paper that explores how Australia can work with partners to prevent, deter and combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in the Indian, Pacific and Southern Oceans.
