Property fraud has exploded in Palm Beach County, with cases jumping from just four prosecutions in 2023 to 184 in 2025, according to data from the State Attorney's Office.
Clerk Mike Caruso says the theft of real estate is an epidemic that could reach 800 cases this year.
But you can protect your home by getting an alert any time a document is recorded with your name, your address or your parcel number.

$350 Million Investment in
Israel Bonds
Palm Beach County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Mike Caruso announced a $350.5 million investment in Israel Bonds, bringing the County’s total investment to $1 billion.
This makes Palm Beach County the largest investor in Israel Bonds in the world.
“Investment policy is not politics, but are purely a function of safety, liquidity and a market rate of return,” said Clerk Caruso, a Certified Public Accountant. “Israel Bonds are paying a higher rate than other allowable investment alternatives, including U.S. Treasuries, and will provide a substantial return on investment for the people of Palm Beach County.”

Valentine's Day
Registration is now open for our annual Valentine’s Day group wedding, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14.
Clerk Mike Caruso will officiate the ceremony for more than a dozen couples in the beautifully restored courtroom of the 1916 Palm Beach County Courthouse.

Pay-by-Phone holiday hours can be found on our website. Plus, many of our services are available online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
*On February 16, Court-based services, including the filing of court documents and payment of court fines and fees, will be available. County-based services, including our Comptroller functions, the issuance of marriage licenses and passports, will not be available.
