Sunday Edition
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! I (Maddie) am so excited about today’s newsletter, not just because it’s a Sunday, but because it’s an extra special week! Why? Because I have two touching quotes of the week for you! And that is all thanks to the two lovely members who sent in quotes that are very close to their hearts. A big thank you to both of you for sharing these quotes with me, I hope you all love these quotes as much as I did.
@birdietennis said: ‘If it is to be, it is up to me.’
@birdietennis explained ‘that [the quote] has been passed through her family for a few generations!’ And I can see why, it’s a lovely quote to reflect on and remind yourself that if you want something to happen, often you need to take action.
The second quote was sent in by member Jenny K. Jenny actually sent this quote through to April while she was recovering from her tonsillectomy earlier this month. April shared it with me this week and I couldn’t not share it with all of you!
Jenny K said: ‘Give time to that which takes time.’
Jenny K explained ‘I made up that saying many years ago…in 1977, I had very complicated spinal surgery and spent 8 months flat on my back. I knew it was going to be for many months, so to make it easier, I kept saying that little ditty over and over to myself. Feel free to carry it with you...it is a life-saver too.'
I think these two quotes are some of the best I have ever shared with you. I hope you all take a moment with your Sunday morning cuppa to reflect on what these quotes might mean to you. I know for me, they reminded me that sometimes I need to take ownership of things to make them happen, but also, that I need to be more gentle with myself. Perhaps, you had a similar realisation? I’d love to hear what you all thought of this week’s quotes.
Now, let’s take a look at what happened across Australia and around the world this week
