Alumni newsletter – you'll always be part of Portsmouth No images? Click here Dear graduate, So far this year we have commemorated 30 years as a University and welcomed over 8,000 class of 2022 graduates to our global community; both wonderful occasions that we celebrate in this newsletter. Our Alumni Reunion was a very special day and from the smiles and warm feedback, we know you felt the same. It was particularly wonderful to link live with the Ghanaian Alumni celebrations. We could never have anticipated our long-awaited reunion coinciding with the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. She was cherished by so many and being able to celebrate her life, and the extraordinary contributions she made to our society, made the event even more poignant. We have compiled a short film above showcasing the essence of the reunion and a Flickr gallery with a sample of pictures. Our Build our History project will continue long after these celebrations, capturing the personal stories that bring our heritage to life – hear some memories below! For the next stage of the project we’re calling international alumni to share your stories. Our Giving Day took place during the 30th Anniversary commemorations, and it was Hot off the press! Our latest edition of SOLVE magazine is included below and highlights the extraordinary research taking place across our University and alumni community; all of which is positively impacting our society and lives. It’s a compelling read. We hope to welcome many more of you to campus soon and wish you all the best in this 30th anniversary year. Warm regards, Trudy Monk Building our history project On Saturday 10 September, our Archives and History teams joined us at the alumni reunion to collect anecdotes and memories.
