Good morning, members! It’s a joy to be here with you on this delightful Saturday morning. I (Vella) hope you’re as excited as I am about the weekend ahead. So, what’s on the agenda for today? I’ve decided that today is all about indulging in some much-needed relaxation. After a week filled with a whirlwind of happenings that were fairly stressful, a weekend full of rest is exactly what I need to recharge my batteries. Before we dive into the day, though, I want to thank all those who responded to our ‘How do you cope with stress?’
thread. I appreciate each of you for sharing your personal experiences and offering some incredible tips on managing stress. I’ll be sure to put them into practice in the future. But enough chit-chat; let’s unveil the answer to yesterday’s riddle.
Who can shave three times a day and still grow a beard?
And the answer is… A barber! How did you like that one? We apologise if this one was too easy for some of you. 😉 But don’t worry; we’ve got a doozy of a riddle lined up for you on Monday! If you got the answer correct, look out for your shout-out at the end of this newsletter. Oh, and if you have any suggestions for riddles, feel free to enter this month’s competition, too! Post a riddle that hasn’t already
been posted in our Jokes, fun and games forum here for your chance to win a $100 voucher to either Coles, Woolworths, ALDI or IGA. The member with the best riddle will be announced in mid-June! So get riddle-ing, members!
Let’s move on to our next segment, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say.’ Today we’re taking a look at the phrase ‘big brain'. Kids today use this phrase to describe someone who’s smart. It is often used as a compliment when someone says something clever, indicating they are having a 'big brain' moment. But it can also be used to tease someone if they do something silly. So, next time your grandkids do or say something clever, tell them they’re having a ‘big brain moment’!

Do you remember your first day at school? For most kids, it was quite a rollercoaster of emotions. Tears were flowing left and right because, let’s face it, for some it was the first time they were left on their own, away from home and their dear old mums. Kids trembled as they sat on tiny chairs, legs dangling, eagerly watching the new teacher get the classroom ready for action. What was your first day of school like? Share your stories on our forum here. And, of course, if you have other memories you’d like to share with us, post them here on our Nostalgia/Yesterday’s Australia forum!

Mother’s Day Flowers
How stunning is this photo shared by our talented member @Rosiebitz? They posted this photo in our photography forum with the caption, ‘Love taking photos of beautiful flowers, especially if they’re for a special occasion. I am printing these photos out and framing them for the wall.’ What a gorgeous shot. The colours are so vibrant, and the petals seem to come alive with beauty. And what makes this photo
even more special is the sentiment behind it – a tribute to Mother’s Day. I can only imagine the joy of receiving such a thoughtful gift. Thanks, member @Rosiebitz for sharing this lovely photo with us. If you have a photo you'd like to share, please join our Photography forum and post it here!
