IQNET General Assembly Meeting | Seoul, South Korea

EAGLE is the U.S. member of IQNET Association. Lindsey Stafford and Libby Shillito represented EAGLE at IQNET's 35th General Assembly Meeting in Seoul, South Korea, May 29-June 2. It was announced at the meeting that EAGLE's Managing Director, Colin Christmas, will join the IQNET Board of Directors as an advisor.

 
 
 

PrimusGFS General Regulations | Appendix 3 Updated

This is a friendly reminder that an updated version of PrimusGFS v3.2 Appendix 3: Guidance for Closure of Deficiencies and Corrective Actions document has gone into effect. Some of the key takeaways from this revised document are:

  • Increased emphasis on corrective action plans and risk assessments as tools when a corrective action is not feasible in 30-calendar days.
  • Reduced emphasis on  the question level categories (e.g., General Level, Essential Level).
  • Rewording in some portions of the Appendix.
  • Corrective action closure process is now the same for all questions regardless of question level category.

Updates to Ford CSRs | IATF 16949 and PPAP

Ford has updated their Customer Specific Requirements for both IATF 16949 and PPAP. The primary changes include:

IATF 16949 CSRs:

  • Clarification added for Safe Launch Control Plans - Identifies critical supplier safe launch exit criteria and timing.
  • Update reference to eCAR - The capacity analysis report is available through eCAR.
  • Updates for Gauge R&R Requirements - Acceptability of the Overall Result and direction on one-sided spec MSAs and acceptability.
  • Clarification on Bulk Material Requirements for FMEA software - Ford will continue to accept the FMEA 4th Edition FMEA format for Bulk Materials.
  • Administrative update to correct nomenclature of AIAG & VDA FMEA.
     

PPAP CSRs:

  • Updated clarification for capability studies with quantity of parts less than 125.
  • Updates for Gauge R&R Requirements.
  • Administrative updates to outdated references and links.
