The man in the iron ore mask

Life has had its share of ups and downs for Premier Mark McGowan in recent times. He has had COVID-19 and watched his child suffer from the disease. Here’s hoping his family is fully recovered from the disease. The AMA (WA) is all too well aware of the seriousness of the illness and its potential for lasting effects.

We face very interesting times as we head into the Federal Election on 21 May. Mountains of iron ore and Labor launching its campaign in WA can’t mask the fact that COVID-19 is an ongoing and serious issue that needs to be monitored vigilantly...

The aim of the meeting was to help improve the life expectancy of mental illness sufferers by at least 10 years over the next decade, by forging ambitious and practical new directions in research and treatment.

Flash forward to 2022 and mental health is still in the spotlight, but we've come a long way...
