Next steps for pool

Detailed designs for stage two and stage three of the Maryborough Outdoor Pool project are currently underway and will be completed by 30 June, 2026.

Using the funding already secured, it is anticipated that stage two will be delivered in 2026 and 2027. 

Game on 

Maryborough Cricket Club recently christened its new pitch at Princes Park, marking a major boost for local cricket. 

G'day and welcome 

On Australia Day, 13 proud Central Goldfields Shire residents took the pledge and officially became Australian citizens.

Youth voice 

The first step for our new Youth Officer, Kyan Laslett O’Brien, is to form a diverse youth advisory group to ensure youth voices are heard and represented in Council.

Robyn's crossing  

When a young Robyn Tracey applied for a job as a School Crossing Supervisor at Tullaroop Shire in February 1981, she never imagined she would dedicate more than 45 years of service to the safety of children in Carisbrook.

Set for take off   

Community members with high-flying ideas about how to help the Maryborough Aerodrome take off are invited to submit expressions of interest to serve on the Aerodrome Advisory Group.

Satisfaction Survey    

The annual Community Satisfaction Survey will start next week. All councils are required to undertake a survey of 400 people across the Shire. Interviewers will identify themselves as being from TKW Research, calling on behalf of Council. Results will be published later this year.
