This is a formal and official way we can emphasize that we will not tolerate disruptive or abusive patients and guests, as well as other staff and volunteers behaving inappropriately. We look forward to seeing you! ![]() Today we remember the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In efforts to encourage community service in honor of Dr. King’s legacy, The Office of Community Benefits is kicking off a system-wide book drive today, Monday, Jan. 16, to help our community tackle youth & adult literacy and promote education among these groups. For our hospital, the drive will support Rainbow Room, which is requesting infant to teen fiction and non-fiction, and Access Health, which is requesting school-aged and also adult fiction or non-fiction in Spanish, English or bilingual books. Donations should be new or gently used. The drive runs through Monday, Jan. 23. Books can be placed in bins around campus. Those locations can be found here. ![]() Book Suggestions NeededIn the coming weeks, HMSL will open a digital library, free of charge for all staff to use. We still need your input on what titles, authors and formats to stock it with. Please fill out this survey by Friday, Jan. 20 to provide your suggestions. The care my husband received was amazing! We had no idea what to expect when he was first diagnosed with cancer. From the very first day of treatment, the oncology nurses and staff were calming and kind. We were very impressed with their teamwork and the high level of care they showed us. The nurses set our minds at ease and we will always be grateful for their professionalism. We would also like to say what a blessing Joan Burnham has been.
