RSA CommuniquéPlus

May 2023

Hello, g'day, kia ora!

We are just days away from our most comprehensive and anticipated conference and we are looking forward to seeing over 400 members, speakers and sponsors in Sydney. We were so impressed by the quantity and quality of nominations for the 2023 RSA Awards. The judges really had their work cut out for them and I can't wait to see the winners honoured at the Conference Party on Monday.

The CPD year comes to a close at the end of May for all our Aussie members - have you got all your points? We have lots of opportunities for members including our conference and workshops next week, as well as lots of content online on WCEA. See below for some links to content.

Kind regards,

Savio D’sa

Vale Kim Torpey

Kim was a member of the RSA for 29 years till he retired in 2018. His passion was vascular access and he was involved with a number studies and publications. He was always the ‘go to’ person for difficult cannulations. Kim passed away in April 2023 and is sorely missed in the renal community in South Australia and nationally. He is survived by his daughter Ereena, her partner and his granddaughter Matilda.

Thank you for all your contribution to renal. All that knew you have benefitted from your care, extensive knowledge and passion. RIP Kim, you will always be remembered fondly.
