A new edition of the Western Australian Exporter Directory has been released for 2026, supporting global buyers to connect with WA agrifood and beverage exporters and export-ready businesses.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) worked with industry stakeholders to update the directory, which now profiles more than 150 businesses, including several new exporters that have recently entered international markets.
The directory is available on the Discover export-ready Western Australian agribusinesses webpage.

Austrade has established a temporary Trade Resilience Service (TRS) to deliver practical intelligence, insights and advice to help Australian businesses navigate increased supply chain volatility.
Ongoing developments in the Middle East are having a significant impact on international trade which are affecting freight availability and costs across a broad range of export markets.
The TRS will operate for 12 months from April 2026, to support exporters in navigating these additional challenges.

The Western Australian Export Awards recognise the confidence, capability and energy of WA businesses that continue to succeed in international markets.
Businesses based in WA that generate revenue from international markets are invited to apply.
WA Winners from each category, along with the WA Exporter of the Year, will be announced at the annual WA Export Awards Gala Dinner. All category winners automatically proceed to become a finalist at the Australian Export Awards, facilitated by Austrade.

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development's (DPIRD) Energy Snapshot Study has been extended until 30 April – which means if you’re a WA food and beverage manufacturer, there’s still time to jump on board.
Here’s why we think you should make yourself a cuppa and take 10-minutes to complete the survey:
- Potential for significant cost-savings – participating businesses receive useful tailored reports on their energy use, sector insights, and practical energy-efficiency recommendations that could potentially save your business thousands.
- Be a voice for your sector – regardless of where you’re at on the energy-efficiency journey, your input will directly influence the development of future DPIRD initiatives, specifically created to support your business and the sector, where it needs it most.
- Increase market competitiveness and resilience – global markets, retailers and consumers are increasingly prioritising manufacturers using sustainable practices. By understanding how your business uses energy, you can demonstrate climate responsibility to new and existing markets.
- EOI for carbon footprint assessment – during the survey, you can express interest to receive a fully-funded carbon footprint report. Worth several thousand dollars commercially – there are still a few spots available but are filling fast.
