Wednesday Edition
Good morning, members, and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday! How are we all doing this cold winter morning? We hope you're staying nice and warm! We are freezing over here at the SDC HQ (we clearly aren’t winter people), so we're keeping ourselves cosy with a cuppa and some fluffy blankets. We hope you lot are doing the same.
Anyway, we’ve got some top-notch stuff lined up for you today, including an exciting announcement! So make yourselves comfortable and get ready to read our jam-packed newsletter.
Starting off today, we told you all a couple of weeks ago that we were on the lookout for a new employee to come on board and to help us bring even more content to you everyday! And today we are VERY excited to introduce you all to our latest team member April. When April isn't working on the Seniors Discount Club, she spends her time with her gorgeous dog, Evie, writing a novel (yes, a novel!) and even does DIY home renovations (we know, she's the perfect fit), so please make her feel welcome!
Next up, we have something that will keep you warm and toasty. The sizzling hot deals from Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, and IGA 😉 There are some real beauties in there today, so make sure to check them out!
And of course, we have your second riddle of the week! It's a tricky one, so get those thinking caps on! Here it goes:
What comes once in a minute, twice in a moment, but never in a thousand years?
Ooh, this is a good one! We're stumped, so we're turning to you, members! If you think you know the answer, head on over to our riddle masters thread here and submit it. If you get the answer correct, you'll get a shoutout in tomorrow's newsletter! So, good luck, members!

Do you remember how you used to sit by the radio, waiting for your favourite song to come on? Before iPods and CDs, the radio was the only way to listen to music. The image above shows a radiogram, a popular way to listen to music in the 1950s. They were typically made of wood and featured a large speaker that produced a clear sound. It’s a reminder of simpler times when people weren’t so glued to their screens and gadgets. Instead, they would simply sit and enjoy each other's company while the radiogram provided the soundtrack to their lives. Who still has one of these?

Five Bridges of Prague
Today’s stunning photo is thanks to our dear member @Des. Des sent this photo to us with the message, “I captured this image of the five bridges of Prague using a tobacco filter on the skyline. It was taken from atop a hill, the location of a “World Expo” over one hundred years ago. It requires a long uphill walk to get there, but I am sure you (all) agree that the view is worth the climb.”
This photo is absolutely stunning! The view is beautiful, and the tobacco filter makes the skyline pop. It’s definitely worth the climb. Thanks for sharing this fantastic photo with us, Des! Keep them coming!

A woman puts an ad in the paper looking for a man who wouldn't run away at the sight of commitment, wouldn't hit her and could fulfill her sex life.
Two weeks go by, and nothing. Finally, one day, the doorbell rings. She opens the door and sees a no-armed, no-legged man.
She looks at him and asks, “How do you expect to fulfil my wishes?”
Ooh, this one is a bit rude and crude but hilarious nonetheless! Special thanks to member @Luckyus for sharing this one. Check out the rest of the joke here.
