Works Planned for September
Commencing Monday 9 September 2024 the Contractor will implement a detour for the construction of Stage 2 (Block 3 Kelly St, between St Aubins and Susan Streets).
This detour will facilitate a partial road closure for construction of the raised pedestrian crossing and stormwater upgrades. Businesses in Block 3 remain accessible.
On Monday, 16 September 2024, the Contractor will commence placing the final road layer known as the wearing course on Kelly Street, from Kingdon Street to St Aubins Street. These works are expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting, and will involve disruptions to traffic.
The Contractor will implement a partial road closure and traffic detours to allow for the placement of the wearing course. It is intended that only one side of the block will be closed at any one time, with the other side to remain open to traffic and parking. Following the completion of the wearing course, final line marking will take place roughly 10 days later.
