Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by the lovely @Valentine. ‘So many fond memories of growing up in our neighbourhood in the 60s. My parents' house was the first in the street, so dad could choose how big a block he wanted. He went for the standard quarter acre. As our house was built on an old cow paddock and many times a cow would break down the barbed wire fence, with me calling out to dad “the cows broken the fence”.’
Oh, this memory had me laughing! What a wonderful childhood it sounds like you had, @Valentine. I cannot imagine walking into my backyard and seeing a cow having broken through the fence, it must have been a funny experience! Thank you so much for sharing this with us all.
