As a trusted partner and friend of Kids Hope, I’m reaching out to you to bring you an important update regarding a change to leadership of the Kids Hope Australia team. 

Late in 2023, Gail Cameron with advance notice informed the Kids Hope Board that a new season of leadership was emerging for her, and that the five and a half years of serving as CEO was coming to an end.  However, her deep passion for the work of Kids Hope continues and Gail plans to remain part of the Kids Hope family as a mentor and to take on a part-time role as Director of Strategic Engagement. This will enable Gail to continue in her passion for seeing vulnerable kids supported through Kids Hope while creating space to lean into her future. 

As a Board, we went through a rigorous and extensive CEO recruitment process and are thrilled to announce that we have appointed Simon Warrick as CEO. Simon comes with over twenty years of senior leadership experience across both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors and commenced as CEO on March 4. 

Simon’s passion to see vulnerable kids find hope comes from his personal story, one he is excited to share in due course. His combination of lived experience and professional history clearly shows that he is well-placed to lead in this exciting season ahead. We look forward to seeing a great impact on kids and communities as Kids Hope Australia grows under his leadership and in partnership with you! 

Please join the Board in thanking Gail for years of faithful leadership and sustained passion to bring love and transformation to vulnerable children through Kids Hope. We look forward to her continued support of Kids Hope as she transitions well into this new season. Please join us in welcoming Simon to the team as our new CEO.
