MINC is a voluntary organisation that has been representing, promoting and advocating for Maldon businesses for more than 25 years. Over 80 businesses and organisations form the basis of its membership. Prior to COVID, a comprehensive Tarrengower Community Plan 2021 was released that identified pathways for the future of the Tarrengower community, which at its heart includes the historic township of
Maldon. One of the pathways identified was “Our Local Economy”. The Plan focuses on advocating and promoting the businesses of Maldon, developing collaborative partnerships with those organisations that can help and support, while at the same time operating within a sound and sustainable framework. In developing the Plan the MINC Committee was very conscious of its own limitations as a voluntary organisation, and so partnering with other organisations and groups is a priority.
