And if you re-enrol by 18 December, you'll automatically go into our lucky draw! There will be two winners this year and they will each receive their term 2 class for free. So re-enrol now and stay tuned... we'll draw the winner on Thursday 19 December. Good luck!

It's that time again... we're selling Christmas Cakes for the Lions Club. The Lions Club support various groups and projects in the community, so you'll be giving to a good cause this festive season. We have three sizes available at the office. To reserve a cake (or two, or three) you can email us, call the office on 03 9836 7942 or just drop in!

Sonya's Masters WIN!
Our very own German tutor, Sonya, recently headed to the Gold Coast to compete in the Masters Games and came away with 3 GOLD medals! Well done Sonya!
Farewell Alex
Alex joined Balwyn Community Centre in 2017 as Marketing and Communications Officer.
During her time in the role, Alex encouraged us to embrace 21st century technology including social media and online reach to members. The ongoing development of our term and semester brochures, improvements to our centre and childcare websites, information posters and Facebook presence, are just some of her achievements during her time here.
She is also credited with keeping the Centre open during the long lockdown periods during 2020 and 2021, supporting members and tutors to attend their classes online.
Alex is currently living in London and enjoying life on the other side of the world. She made many friends during her time with us and we wish her the very best for the future.
Welcome Christine
Please join us in welcoming Christine who has started in the role of Community Engagement Coordinator.
Christine has extensive experience in coordinating and developing programs that respond to the needs of the community including local businesses. Christine’s immediate past employment was with the City of Manningham but she has also experienced the joys and limitations of working for not for profit organisations including The National Trust of Victoria.
Christine is looking forward to developing the programs that we offer at BCC and expanding the reach that we have into the community. We welcome Christine with open arms and encourage you to say hello when you’re next at the Centre.

As we wrap up another year, we want to thank all our members for your continued support throughout the year. We hope you get to relax, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved time with family and friends this holiday season.
The office will be closed from 3pm on Friday 20 December and will reopen on Monday 20 January 2025. During this time, class enrolments can be completed on our website.
