G’day, ladies and gents! Welcome to another beautiful Saturday! I (Vella) hope you are all safe, healthy and looking forward to a beautiful day. It's the start of another restful weekend, and I’m excited to present today's newsletter, filled with interesting stories and sprinkled with lots of goodies carefully curated just for you. So, let’s dive into today’s round-up, shall we? First, it’s time to answer yesterday’s riddle!
I'm named after nothing, though I'm awfully clamorous. And when I'm not working, your house is less glamorous. What am I?
And the answer is a vacuum cleaner! Tough, eh? But you, folks, proved to be true riddle masters! If you got the answer correct, expect your well-deserved shout-out at the end of this newsletter.
Moving onto our next segment, 'What Would the Grandkids Say?' Today, we're switching things up a bit—instead of featuring a term, we're diving into a trend today of adding ‘-ing’ to words. Kids today use this trend with any noun to turn it into a verb. If something is not adding up, you can say, ‘The maths is not mathsing’ or ‘My brain is not braining.’ I know, I know, the trends get weirder by the day, eh?
Oh, and let’s welcome our new SDC Rewards members Yves Altana, Oddone, lesleyharrower@CW, Froco, WendyW1954, Janet Porter, Bethwilson, Luckyus, Judysteff, MarieT, Heather T2, Freeman27, Jill6210 & Angelalamanda! Also, we're approaching the final days to enter this week's
SDC Rewards competition. You've got to be in it to win it. Enter here now. Remember, this is for SDC Rewards members only.
