NEWS UPDATE11 October 2024 Publishers noteI remember clearly the competitive rhetoric we engaged in to position our events as the premier, largest, premium, leading, most respected, internationally recognised, and any other descriptive we could muster up to position our shows as the best. It was a competitive marketplace; it was a bit of friendly fun amongst competitors, but it was also necessary to entice both exhibitors and a quality audience equally for the shows to succeed. But when all was said and done, the true and most transparent results were measured by the actions of exhibitors and visitors. If the event was right, each year, both groups would attend, and the boat show formula that led to the trilogy of success was met. The Exhibitor, the visitor, the organiser - everyone was happy. This came to mind this week as we received many stories from Melbourne Boat Show exhibitors. Well done, BIAV. The confidence and quality of those exhibiting are a testament to the trust the industry places in you. The Melbourne Boat Show kicks off next Thursday 17th October and goes for 4 days. It will be located at Docklands. I do hope you enjoy this week’s news. Marine Business News is an Australian-owned marine industry news service publishing local and international news.
