Wohl Clean Growth Alliance Fellowships Program:

New deadline for applications is 31 January 2023, 23:59 IL Time

The scheme will enable early career researchers in Israel and the UK to undertake medium-term visits to further their research and establish or strengthen links that develop and enhance scientific collaborations.

The Fellowships will support research visits by British and Israeli researchers to laboratories in the partner country. Applicants can apply for visits for one to six months in duration.

Wohl Clean Growth Alliance Grants: 

The call will remain open for submissions until 30 June 2023

The Wohl Alliance aims to further research-linked cooperation between the UK and Israel in areas of clean growth linked to food, water and energy. We are pleased to invite applications for grants of up to $25,000 to help form, maintain, enlarge and promote such collaboration.

We are inviting applications from Israelis seeking to undertake their first postdoctoral funding in the fields of life sciences, physical sciences and engineering at the University of Cambridge. Fellows will receive an annual stipend of £30,000. Additional funding of up to £6,000, to support direct research costs. Apply here

During the first week of December the British Council Israel team joined the UK embassy staff and HMA Neil Wigan in their volunteer activity this year at 'Pantry Packers' in Jerusalem for an afternoon of packing dry goods for families in need. Together we packed 1300 bags of pantry staples including green peas, yellow peas, barley, oats and corn flour which assembled 168 boxes ready for delivery to elderly Ethiopian families.
This was an excellent opportunity to strenghen our ties and teamwork skills.
