Dear colleagues,

January has been an important month for AEC, marking the conclusion of the AEC ARTEMIS project. A huge thanks to those who contributed to this important work. While wrapping up this significant initiative, we are already looking ahead with the launch of our first open call for experts—a key step in reinforcing AEC’s ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

You may have seen that AEC, in collaboration with EPASA, has issued a statement against human rights violations in Georgia, which have directly and adversely affected our colleagues and students.

We are also looking forward to reconnecting with our members at upcoming AEC events: the PJP Meeting at the end of February and the EPARM Conference at the beginning of April. As always, these meetings allow us to share practice and ideas, and come together as a community of mutual respect and support.

I look forward to making contact with you again soon.

SCAM Alert

Beware of Hotel Fraud, Visitor Lists and Others

We want to alert you to recent phishing attempts targeting several European networks and platforms, including AEC.

It has been brought to our notice that members have been approached by scams or unsolicited emails from unfamiliar domains, such as "datalist.shop", "visitorlist.co", and "exposenetwork.com", offering access to a “Visitors List” for upcoming events.

Please be aware that these emails are not from AEC and should be ignored. We recommend marking these addresses as spam to prevent further contact.

While these emails currently contain no harmful viruses, the risk lies in the misleading appearance of legitimacy, which may prompt recipients to engage in conversation and ultimately expose them to financial scams.

We apologise for any inconvenience and hope this message helps you recognise and avoid potential threats.
