PeaceWorks on Campus provides emerging leaders a horizon of hope

In the midst of horrible headlines and images from the Middle East, PeaceWorks on Campus has arranged for several online and in-person sessions with regional experts committed to peace and coexistence. 

These include: National Leadership Briefings with Israeli regional coexistence expert Ksenia Svetlova of ROPES, and Palestinian Professor Mkhaimer Abu Sada of Al-Azar University in Gaza City; a Master Class with U.S. government Middle East experts Ilan Goldenberg and Hady Amr; a Zoom discussion with young professionals involved in supporting peacebuilding activities; and a tour of five Washington, DC, campuses by Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilding practitioners Kobi Skolnick and Nizar Farsakh. 

War and violence in the Middle East has left us anguished, disheartened, and enraged… but we will not be deterred from our mission of nurturing the next generation of Israeli, Palestinian, and American change-makers. 

We pray that even in our searing pain we can find the capacity to comfort, strengthen, and provide hope and healing to those most directly affected by this devastation.
