Sunday Edition
Good morning ladies and gents! Happy Sunday! Ah, the best day of the week if you ask me (Maddie). I am so excited about my day today. I’m taking it nice and easy this morning, and then I’m going out for lunch with my sister and cousins. I feel so lucky to have a close relationship with my cousins. I know not everyone has that luxury, but I absolutely adore mine, they are like little sisters to me! Are you getting up to anything nice today? Maybe you’re just taking it easy? Whatever you’re up to, I hope you have a sensational Sunday.
Now, it wouldn’t be a Sunday without my quote of the week, now would it? This week’s quote is a special one. I stumbled upon it when I was in the office with April. As soon as I read it out loud, we both knew it had to be in today’s newsletter.
‘Make kindness your mission and love your legacy.’
I don’t think I want to say anything else about this quote. I think it speaks for itself. What a wonderful mission to have and a legacy to leave. It’s something I’m going to keep very close to my heart.
So, what happened across Australia and around the world this week?

Today’s gorgeous ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by member @Nancyjoy. It was posted as an entry into our Christmas Memory competition! Here’s what @Nancyjoy shared with us, ‘My late husband Gwyn volunteered to be Santa at the local rural school's end-of-year concert. One of the children, unfortunately, wasn't able to attend because he was ill so Gwyn arranged for the local fire brigade to take him to the boy's home with his present much to the child's delight. On the same night, one of the children decided to help Santa by taking out each present from his sack to pass to Santa. The Mothers' Club generally organised the presents and made sure that
there were presents for every child in the district. However, as the names were read out and the bag was getting lighter the little boy's name still hadn't been called. We all held our breaths hoping he hadn't been overlooked - then to everybody's delight, the very last present belonged to that little boy. He was so excited jumping up and down and it really made my Christmas.’
Wow, your late husband sounds like an incredible man, @Nancyjoy. Thank you so much for sharing this treasured memory of him. It is going to be so difficult choosing the winner of this competition! Don’t forget, we will be announcing the winner on Tuesday, December 13.
