Friday Edition
Good morning, members, and welcome to Friday! Woo-hoo! We can’t believe this week has gone by so quickly! We sure have been busy – have you? I (Vella) have accomplished a few things on my to-do list this week, including going for a run every day, grocery shopping, and spending more time with my family. It may not sound like much, but I'm proud of myself! I tend to stay in my room all day, especially when I'm focused on work or something else, and I’ve realised that's not healthy. I felt like I've been immersed in my thoughts too much lately, so it was nice to get out and talk to people and enjoy the weather. It boosts my mood significantly, and I'm constantly getting Vitamin D!
I think it's important to remember that getting out of the house and interacting with the world is crucial for our mental well-being. So, I encourage you all to get out there and do something today! Even if it's just a walk around the block or a chat with a neighbour. You'll feel better. I promise.
Anyway, that's enough from me. Let's get into the newsletter, shall we? Of course, we have the third and final riddle of the week for you first...
What four-legged animal can jump higher than a house?
We've had some pretty tough riddles this week, so hopefully, this one is a bit more manageable! If you think you know the answer, head over to the riddle masters thread here. If you get the answer correct, we will give you a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter!
And now, for the news. What's happening in Australia and around the world today?

Oh, and did you know that Health Insurers are increasing their premiums by an average of 2.90% on April 1? Although that doesn’t seem like a ‘large’ increase, for an Aussie over the age of 65 that’s an additional $167 per year for their health cover. It’s worse if you’re with one of the ‘Big 5 Funds’ - think BUPA, Medibank, HCF, nib and HBF - you could be paying a whopping $194
more per year for the exact same health cover. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Compare and save on your health insurance before April 1 here.*
