The time for the great work of Western Australia’s mental health sector to be celebrated is on the horizon, with nominations now open for the WA Mental Health Awards 2022.

The Awards aim to recognise and reward the achievements of those who demonstrated excellence, innovation and initiative during the 2021 calendar year in supporting consumers of mental health services, their families, carers and the community in general, while showcasing best practice in WA’s mental health sector to inspire others.

The Awards are hosted by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH), with support from the WA Mental Health Commission.

The official Awards Ceremony and Celebration function will be held on Friday 25 November 2022 at Perth Pacific Perth. Finalists will be announced during WA Mental Health Week in October.

Nominations close 30 June 2022 – so you only have a couple of months to send your nominations in. You can nominate yourself or someone else/organisation (depending on the award category).

We encourage you to share this notice with your networks far and wide in WA – please join us in promoting the amazing work around mental health that occurs in our sector and broader WA community.

• News Media Award – Presented by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health
• Diversity Award – Presented by Roshana Care Group
• Innovation for Change Award – Presented by Youth Focus
• Mental Health Employee or Volunteer Excellence Award
• Prevention or Promotion Award – Presented by Lifeline WA
• Mentally Healthy Education Award – Presented by the Commissioner for Children and Young People of WA
• Mentally Healthy Workplace Award – Presented by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA
• Lived Experience Impact & Inspiration Award – Presented by the WA Mental Health Commission
